Surrey/Lancs starts today, should sadly be a useful win for you guys as we've only won once since Maynard died and that was Duckworth Lewis, least KP is meant to be playing, but we don't have our captain and our batting is dying a death since Tom went.

Were not the best in the 4 day game either as you know JMW, 250 always seems hard to reach but if we can get 300 we shouldn't lose from there. Shocking about Maynard

Stephen Moore out in the twenties once again, he really needs to step up his four day performance, because aside from the back end of last season it has been dismal.

true but our mental strength has been annihilated and none of our batsmen are in any sort of nick.

We rely on our bowling to be competitive and you've made a strong start so that's out of the window as well.

And yeah i know what you mean about surrey, its the same as us in a way. we always end up collapsing some where in our innings... touch wood that we dont.

Yep no issue with his t20 or one day play, that's been excellent, but these are his four day scores this year:

11,4,1,14,8,11,19,3,47,43,13,18,17,9,25,19,2,28,24,24.

I know batting conditions have been tough early season but for a player with his natural ability to have no fifties and an average of 17 is poor, especially as he is often getting starts. Now with Smith fit and Proctor deserving a place, Moore's four day spot must be in question.

He really does, and I hope he gets it because he has real talent, no question of that. He showed in his last three innings of last season when he scored 169 not out, 68 and 71 what a good player he can be, but again prior to that these were his run of scores:

12,1,19,18,4,10,42, 124*,27,14,0,0,37,14,76,39,4,26,18,5.

He should be better than that.

i didnt realise his form was that bad haha! however if you look at the side there is nobody else who could open the batting, and everyone knows he has the ability so he just needs to find some form.
