It is always by far the biggest gate of the season and on Sky so it is very important a game takes place.
haha thats what i keep saying to my self! We have had our t20 season destroyed by the weather. we should have beaten Derbyshire first game of the season but D/L favoured them, and dont get me started on the game against Notts!
D/L may suit other forms of one day cricket so the authorities would have you believe but it certainly doesn't suit T20. It needs looking at. The Notts game was infuriating. Charles Colville thought it would be 42 at first not 49 !!
What would been a fair chase when Lancs posted 178 with ten wickets in hand of five overs ? - I would say 65.
I agree with Corky, The Yorkshire game is huge with a 10k crowd expected so they need to try and get some sort of game on; is there a breeze down there ? I have played on many pitches on South Manchester and believe me this could make a huge difference. There was 12k at the Oval last night I read.
Moores needs to mix it up for next season and look at replecing some of the old guard.
