Laser eye surgery

I'd rather bump into furniture and doors than have this sort of surgery, fair play to anyone with bigger cojones than I have for going through the procedure.
Don't be such a tart. ;-)
Had my right eye done in July in Stepping Hill (should have been 1st April, but cancelled the week before), and the difference in vision between the eyes now is incredible. A neighbour's car is about 35 yards away. Before the op the number plate was just about readable WITH my glasses on.
Now I can read the plate WITHOUT glasses with my right, and just about SEE the plate with my left!
I had a follow up review 2 weeks ago, and the consultant said it had healed really well, so we'll leave the other eye for now. I said I was hoping he would say that they'd do it asap just to get rid of me. He asked if I really wanted it done. I said really REALLY! I'm now listed for the left eye to be done.
Happy Days.

Thinking of getting this done. I'm short sighted bit can read OK, my eyes have stabilised the last 15 years or so. Anyone recommend a company.

Yes had surgery 3 years ago. Brilliant result. Because i was so short sighted (-9) i had to have icl where they insert contact lenses permanently into the eye. more expensive but less risk if dry eyes etc.

surgeon was Mr quah at HCA Wilmslow.
throughly recommend

I was going to have it done ten yrs or so ago but the surgeon said on the day that it wouldnt make a huge amount of difference so they gave me a refund , now naturally my far vision is perfect and i just need reading glasses , the optican says it would have fucked my eyes up if i had gone through with it then

So your far distance vision has improved by itself??

Yes it has , he said it can happen with age but close up gets worse which is what has happened , i was given those awful bi focals for a while but they just gave me vertigo and nausea so i stopped using them and looked into the laser surgery , glad i didnt do it . I would say ask you optican whether laser is a good idea for you as i had all the scans at the clinic and was sold it would make a big difference then the surgeon said it wouldnt make much difference , good job he was honest
