Last Film You Saw

Watched it on the 18th December. This is what I posted on here:

Just watched Stan & Ollie.

Quite slow and methodical but a fascinating insight to their relationship out of the limelight.
Have to agree beautifully made film, must admit a tear in my eye at the end

Bumblebee

Tries more than the others but still reverts to a teenager finding their way in life. If you have a teenager then maybe they will like it. Very hard for me to relate now, i can't stand whining bitching teens at all, i'd slap the shit out of them just for being alive if i had some. What is that life is unfair, here lets make it truly terrible you financial resource hogging little shit "WHACK"

Bumblebee is cool though, just the human elements in these films are tediously one dimensional. I will never forgive that club thumbed tart Fox for taking my childhood fav cartoon and making it a promotional tool for her career, that! ironically, is now dead as the dodo.

Edit: Oh yeah, there is a decent copy of Bumblebee knocking around now.

Anyone manged to see Vice yet? I know it isn't in the cinemas until the 25th, but there are DVD SCRs out there. It seem to be getting decent reviews.
Not watched it yet Jim, mind you i have about 8TB of data backlogged i need to watch. Bale getting very nice comments about his performance in this thread.

You got a TV with a usb slot Jim and a usb storage key fob thingy? Otherwise a smart tv with an app store?

It's currently rated as 7.9 by the public.

Thats not a piss poor score.
Go and actually read the reviews. The majority of the most recent ones are below 5, with lots of 1s and 2s. It's already fallen from 8.5 when I watched it a few days ago to 7.9 today. It'll end up below 6 once more people have seen it as it is a truly dreadful film.

Why would you take more notice of the latest reviews than the earlier reviews?

84.5% of the reviews rate it as 7/10 or higher.

'Truly dreadful' films don't get those sort of ratings.

Plenty of films start off with high scores, boosted by hype and misplaced critical acclaim, only to then find their right level once a wider audience sees them.

In my initial post, I simply pointed out that most of the latest reviews were negative, which suggests to me that the initial reviews were overinflating the rating.

My point being that this isn't a film worthy of an 8.5 rating, which funnily enough it no longer has. The trend is only going one way for this film as more and more people see it.
