Last Film You Saw

While I can understand the negative reception TLJ received, I am a little taken back at how pessimistic it has made everyone. Everyone seems to be writing off the star war franchise because of one average movie.

I have a feeling that we may look back at this movie in a few years time and start to appreciate it. Once we come to love the characters more it will be great to go back and see where they came from.

I want to hear what people want to see next from star wars. Tell me how this franchise, and in particular this trilogy, can restore your faith?
TLJ seemed to throw out everything set up by FA. I know it’s handing the baton to the next generation but the killin* of Luke just seemed that oh let’s knock off the old guard, we’ve done Han, now Luke, who next Lando. Unfortunately I can’t see what they will do with Leia now Fisher has died. From Star Wars I wanted to see epic battles (rogue 1 did this) and fucking lightsaber duels and the force been used to the max. At the end of TLJ with Luke and the walkers, the intake of breath when they shoot at him was unreal in the cinema only exceeded by the murmurs when he wasn’t there. We wanted to see Luke rip those walkers apart etc. In regard the new trilogy they need to go old republic with Sith and Jedi everywhere I want an overload of my senses with epic battles.

have you watched the new release? a lot of the comments say the audio is out of sync at the end, ill give it a miss if it is
At 1:54:10 it loses 100ms of sync, if watching on a pc media player or kodi you can fix it by offsetting the audio by said 100ms. If you want a perfect viewing experience it would indeed be better to wait a couple of days for the digital release sir.

Cheers mate, I did download it and skipped to the end, I couldn't watch that, I will be waiting for the digital release.

Seems there is another Millenium/Girl who... film out with Stockport's very own Clare Foy in the lead as Lisbeth Salander. The original trilogy are classics of the nordic crime thriller genre so it better be good. Look how the full on hollywood effort went down with viewers, not great!

Anyway, a lot of us like our Nordic crime thrillers so thought it worth noting here that this is now available.

After recording it, I have just watched I, Daniel Blake.
An emotional, quite hard to watch film. Can make you feel very frustrated and sorry at what some poor people have to go through.
A brilliant film.
