I enjoyed that film, The way Elvis was controlled by Parker reminded me of the way Brian Wilson was controlled by his psychiatrist in that film about Brian Wilson and the Beach Boys amazing how some superstars were controlled in their lives.I take it you wont be watching it again then?

I always thought John Lennon was controlled by your Yoko Ono after he met her.
Sorry chap.New word on me that Snorks.
Good or bad ?

He looked better back then.don’t know why he went all Jackie Stallone.Angel Heart with Mickey Rourke as a dishevelled down at heel private eye, hired by a sinister Robert de Niro to trace a missing washed up crooner in 1950s New York. The body count mounts up as Rourke is plagued by strange satanic visions. A very disturbing film with an unsettling atmosphere and a nod to the Faust legend.
I think partly this is primarily because Hollywood loves trends. It's like Friday buy a Thursday could be how it was sold :) I also feel like "ghetto" marks something as being a "black" movie. I know Nope isn't a comedy and Peele maybe plays by different rules but that's not considered a "black" movie in my experience. Neither is Creed. My thesis falls down a little with a movie like Sorry to Bother You - I'm not sure I'd call this a "black movie" but I do think it's a movie about blackness. Also Think Like A Man is a black comedy that's not set in the ghetto.Watched "One of Them Days" earlier.
As a 'typical' Black film, you know what you're gonna get, so I watch very few of them as I get bored of the same type of settings and scenes.
The only enjoyable aspect was an actress I've not seen before, but the end titling gave her the name 'Sza', of whom I had a very vague recollection of.
Turns out she's a singer(but I thought she was the one who never showed face and wore black and white wigs over her eyes?) but, for me anyway, she had a good flow about her, not overly "ghetto" and VERY easy on the eye (all the right curves!).
Googled her and she looks way better now then she did in her peak singing career (whenever that was)!
Anyway, as per the film, it just felt like "Friday" was filmed up the block, but the day was Thursday or Saturday. Meh.
Having thought about it, just now, White comedy has 3 levels; 'trailer', middle class and rich comedy on a regular basis.
Black comedy has 'ghetto' as a regular and, desperately, needs to move forward.

I watched the new Captain America film yesterday and thought it was boring.Watched all 3 of the Captain America movies recently. All of them were very good/great.
The newest movie in the franchise will be out shortly - Captain America - Brave New World. BNW has met with mixed pre-reviews... so maybe it's not as good as its predecessors. Nonetheless I plan on watching it in theater later this week.

Edit - scratch the plan to watch CA-BNW. Judging by reviews it's a real stinker of a film.
