Last Film You Saw

Homefront 7/10

I like Jason Stathom (beginning to think i have a man crush on him!), and if i was gay he'd be the one i'd want to snug up to!

"Gone Girl".

David Fincher's cleanest work to date, even surpassing the rawness of "Se7en" for me. I loved the pacing, the edits and cinematography. All the actors(bar the unconvincing Neil Patrick Harris) played their part to add to the consistency of the piece.

I really like the ending and whilst not unique in the way to finish a film, it felt 'real'.

Really good stuff and just short of perfect.

Not close to perfect, and not close to Se7en either.

We have different points of view on it. "Se7en" was flawed and the editing uneven. Fincher has set about "Gone Girl" in opposite fashion to the other film mentioned, hence why I said it was his "cleanest work to date".

As a STORY, which is what I think you're talking about "Se7en" is better, sure. Had he produced that now, I think he's have done it much better, imo.

Dumber & Dumber To - 4/10 (First one was a classic. It was very idiotic but in a clever way but this one a lot of the jokes were weak and often fell flat for me. Wanted to love it but sorely didn't !)

Edge of Tomorrow - 7/10 (Yeah not bad lots of action & awesome visuals...refering to Emily Blunt there!)

The Imitation Game - 8.5/10 (My film of the year so far just edging Grand Budapest...not seen Birdman yet though which also looks great)

12 years a slave - 7/10 (Late to the party with this one.)

Guardians of the Galaxy - 6/10 (Been told off everyone I know to watch this despite the fact I tend to avoid Marvel/Superhero films like the plague. Kept me entertained and funny in parts but hasn't really gone a way to drastically alter my opinion on these sorts of films.)

Moneyball - 6/10 (Another one I had high hopes for. Basically saw this as a poor mans Damned United. Didn't buy into Pitts character at all. Occasionally he would just knock over things to show his frustration and that was about as deep as it would go. Wished they would've concentrated on PS-Hoffmans character more he must've been on screen for a grand total of 5 minutes.

Smashed - 7.5/10 (About an alcoholic couple where the wife in the relationship attempts to go sober and get her life back on track. Was quite impressed by the girl which played the lead in this, wasn't expecting much tbh. Sweet film)
