Last Film You Saw

10 Rillington Place...absolute classic. I remember watching it with my dad who was/is a bit of a real crime nut after I asked why they don't hang murderers any more and he explained by way of this movie. Obviously young me missed some of the nuance about a bloke getting fitted up and really poor quality police work.

Watching it back I can definitely see a touch of the Hopkins Hannibal lector in Attenborough's portrayal.

Fully recommend it or a rewatching of it if you are stuck

Only reason i managed to watch it all was my strong desire for a Matrix nostalgia fix. First one was a fantastic film.

True.

Remember I just flicked it on didn’t know anything about the film and got blown away how unique it was, every film that followed it were a big let down.

Watched Morbius.

It's not half as bad as the reviews are saying, the film is ok for 3/4 of it, it's just the end that's a total let down.

That film is a brilliant piece of cinema.

Agreed on the original.

As a fan, did you feel a 4th was needed/warranted? Just curious.
No, it certainly did not answer any stand out unanswered questions or anything like that. Even the second two were on dodgy ground. I can understand how success of the first drove the production of more but the films became pretty shabby pretty quick.

It was nice to see Neo and Trinity on screen together again but that was the best bit for me. The film felt messy but it really could have been worse to, so not a total disaster, but close.
