Dumb and Dumber
I watched it with a great deal of anticipation yesterday. Blinds drawn and AV amp cranked up to 60. I was ready to be disappointed following your critique but I have to say I absolutely loved it. I read the book many many years ago so cant remember all of the intricacies of the plot but remember how the story washed over me, drew me in and immersed me in Arakis. This film did the same and I would go as far as to say its the best Sci Fi film I have seen in decades. Thought Timothee?? was a messianic Paul Artredes and seemed to handle himself ok in fight scenes. The only casting that threw me a little was the Lady Jessica. Small criticism when you consider the visuals, soundtrack and special effects.Fair enough mate as all of us view through different lenses .. do you think timothee chalamet was up to the job?
I kind of think he was wrongly cast and that Paul would have been better played by a younger version of jason momoa.
Paul was looked on by the Fremen as their new teacher and muaddib, wise in the ways of the desert by creating his own water, hiding from the sun and travelling by the coolness of night. He was supposed to be a warrior and mystic and ogre, less than a god but more than a man, but instead took on the persona of a half fed squib more attuned to the Willy Wonka role.

Loved that.Once upon a time in Hollywood
Brad Pitt is absolutely brilliant in this, yes it's a bit long and drags in a few places, but the ending more than makes up for it. In my top 5 Tarantino movies, 8.5/10
