Last Film You Saw

The desperate hour, not sure what was more desperate, me wasting 1 hour of my life or the writers of the film, they were desperate for a storyline. Give it miss

Don't Worry Darling

Mediocre film imo. It started with great promise but just lost it's way and had a crappy ending.
Florence Pugh was good again but I don't rate Harry Styles acting ability.
Loved those 50's American cars though, they had such great cars then.

5/10

Just watched one with Bradley Cooper, Kate Blanchette and ****** Mara, called Nightmare Alley.
I'm sure I would have heard of it either on this thread or Bigga's trailer thread.
Pretty good all in all and worth a watch.

I watched that not long ago and enjoyed it. I then watched the original version which is free on youtube.

There are three unwritten laws in cinema viewing.

~ A Sky Original film is usually w@nk, see Poker Face.

~ Any film promoted by the compare the meerkats is w@nk, see Black Adam.

~ Any film promoted by the rags can also get in the bin.

Here endeth the lesson.
Just to prove the exception to your first rule (which in general I agree with), anybody that wants to know more about how it feels to be an asylum seeker will find a new film available on Sky both interesting and moving. Aisha is a film about a Nigerian asylum seeker within the Irish direct provision system. Whilst it is set in Ireland there are many parallels with the UK. Staring Letitia Wright (Black Panther) and Josh Oconner (The Crown) both give incredibly authentic performances. Written and Directed by Frank Berry who has been compared to Ken Loach it’s an incredibly powerful film.

I think its badged as a Sky Original, it certainly is distributed by them. 8/10.
