Last Film You Saw

Oranges & Sunshine - 7/10 A tough watch in parts

Song for a Raggy Boy* - 9/10 A very tough watch all the way through

*no, not about one of them

Amadeus ,watched it yet again, brilliantly acted, apart from Mrs Mozart imho.
Salieri played so well and touchingly . For anyone not interested in Classical music, it's a great introduction.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (2023) - 5/10

Hit and miss humour again (not as bad as Thor L&T), under par CGI, lack of character development. Michelle Pfeiffer and Jonathan Majors were great, the rest not so much. First 2 acts are above average but the 3rd act is terrible, felt like a Kang prequel as opposed to Ant-Man 3.

Manchester By The Sea

An emotionally draining, rollercoaster of a film with amazing actors portraying a horrific personal tragedy.

10/10 for the acting. But it's such a grim watch.

As an aside - the "Manchester" in the title has nothing to do with Manchester City - rather Manchester By The Sea is the name of a Massachusetts, USA town in which most of the story takes place.
Fabulous film

Jim Jefferies High and Dry on Netflix.
Loved it.The suitcase on wheels my favourite.
Always wondered about that myself. 8/10.

Working through some classic films at the moment.....much to the annoyance of my wife!!

Some good ones I can recommend:-

The man who shot liberty Valance
Classic western starring Jimmy Stewart and John Wayne, they acted very well together but disliked each other in real life. Lee Marvin also stars, stellar cast.

9/10

Ready or Not, loved it
Shotgun wedding, absolutely terrible
Antman and wasp Quantumania, passable for the genre but nothing spectacular

what I am not understanding is this love in for the banshees of inisherin, decent enough with good performances, but the film was nowt memerable or worth a rewatch later in life
