Last Film You Saw

Went to an empty cinema to watch it, enjoyable but the magic of Marvel has gone now. I’d give it 6.5/10 miles better than BP2, the two post credit scenes obvioulsy tie in with the TV shows. I think they really need FF4 to blow up to peak my interest again.

Top Gun 8.5/10 one of my all time favourites the wife has never seen it! Will be watching Maverick next weekend with her.
Thai bride ? ;)

Ready or Not, loved it
Shotgun wedding, absolutely terrible
Antman and wasp Quantumania, passable for the genre but nothing spectacular

what I am not understanding is this love in for the banshees of inisherin, decent enough with good performances, but the film was nowt memerable or worth a rewatch later in life
Ready or Not was a real surprise for me, entertaining and fun.

On the other hand as you rightly point out Shotgun Wedding, which I was forced to watch by her indoors, was terrible. It’s a formulaic, by the book action romcom that’s low on ideas, brain cells and comedy. Worst thing I’ve watched this year, but it’s still early.

I initially had it lower than Black Panther 2 (had that at a 6) but on reflection I think it's better than that, might have to reverse my scores on them 2.

Love and Thunder and Dr Strange 2 I really didn't like though.

They're definitely at a crossroads now, they need to start hitting it out of the park or people are going to switch off. They're lucky it's GOTG3 next, they don't usually get them wrong.

Ready or Not was fun, I agree.

Skinamarink.

The worst film I've ever seen. 1 hour and forty minutes of grainy shots of dark rooms, walls and the odd light turning on and off. Utter horseshit. Absolutely nothing redeeming about it, 0/10.

Threads
Not seen it since the eighties, compelling but as grim as it gets, so many parallels with the current situation especially the rhetoric used in the build up to the attack. 27/38

Thats an unusual scoring system 27/38.

Can remember watching Threads as a kid, far more frightening than any of the contemporary horror movies.
