Last Film You Saw

Tombstone - 5/10
I thought that this would be another great western like Unforgiven was... mistake. Val Kilmer as Doc Holiday was fantastic. The rest of the move - not so much.

Dunno - I thought it was pretty good all round. Plenty action shootouts The story didn't stop at the Gunfight at OK Corral as they usually do. Whole cast pretty good. and Kurt Russell really nailed the Wyatt Earp role. A 7.5/10 for me.

It's abit of an unfair comparison in the Western genre.

Unforgiven (1992) comes from the classic lineage such as Shane (1953) / High Noon (1952) etc

Tombstone (1993) is a much more rousing/fun affair like The Magnificent Seven (1960) or Silverado (1985)

Both films have made their mark for different reasons.

Billy Clanton: You're so drunk, you couldn't hit nothin'. In fact, you're probably seeing double.

Doc Holliday: I have two guns, one for each of ya!

in the land of saint and sinners. Liam Neeson plays a hitman in Ireland set in the 70's. I really enjoyed this film for many reasons, but the main 2 are the Hitman character isn't a action hero just a regular type guy. and also the film really feels like a 70s film. Give it a watch!

The Val Kilmer documentary is amazing. Seriously underrated actor at times, thought he was superb as Doc Holiday as well.

Currently watching For Love of the Game. Not a new film by any means but I haven't watched for ages. It was the film that initially sparked my interest in baseball. One of my all time favourites and along with The Legend of Bagger Vance, my favourite film about sport.
