BTTF 3, great end to the trilogy, I’d forgot how good these films were, 8/10
Godzilla minus 1, brilliant, 10 out of 10
It's a brilliant film mate, I absolutely loved itWe watched Late Night with the Devil last night and I thought it was fantastic. I love stories about hubris, stories about the dangers of obsession with fame and power, and this is a brilliant example.
Basic premise is that a late night talk show host in 70's USA decides to bring an exorcist and her subject (a kid who can supposedly speak to the devil) onto the show to save faltering ratings. Even when it slowly becomes clear that - despite their assumptions - she is not a scam artist, he insists on persisting with the show, with disastrous results.
It is created almost entirely in the visual style of a real VHS recording of a 70s show, and it's one of the best horrors I've ever seen.
Love this film, the B & W cinematography is outstanding, & the Neil Young guitar soundtrack is excellent too. Just bought the Criterion Blu RayDead Man
Slightly unusual western starring Johnny Depp. Liked it.
7.99/10
Brutal, that scene was quite an eye opener!Bone Tomahawk, really enjoyed it. Can only describe it as a Western Horror film 8/10
"The small town of Bright Hope is terrorised by a tribe of cannibalistic savages known as the troglodyte clan. However, soon the town's men decide to put an end to the tribe"
It’s actually several stories in one, a warning about blindly following charismatic leaders, organised religion, politics, colonialism & ecological issues.I don't get the hype over the Dune films. Yes they're great to look at. Story wise, though; meh.
