After the death of the actress Shelly Duvall last week I thought I'd watch The Shining with my daughter last night. Still brilliant 44 years after its release. Daughter gave it 9/10.. 9.5 from me.

Some extra scenes, all I can think of now is the ominous music at the start of the film and the first line in the book "officious little prick"
