Excalibur (1974)

Easily one of the most beautiful films I've ever seen. Also one of the most ridiculous.

Stunning, psychedelic, hair-raising, poetic epic - a staggering fantasy. Laughably inept and misguided.

Monty Python remade this as The Quest For The Holy Grail, and TBH they didn't have to change much.

Apart from the Justin Lee Collins soundalike playing Arthur, it had a great cast. Gabriel Byrne, Liam Neeson, Patrick Stewart, Nicol Williamson. With Helen Mirren and Cherie Lunghi providing a bit of glam too.

Allies - low budget WW2 shenanigans with that jammy **** from Busted who's married to Emma Willis and that baldy French **** who used to play for Chelsea.
Crap. Would not watch again.
