Last Film You Saw

2 films both on Amazon Prime, both worth watching

1) Official Secrets
Official Secrets is a 2019 British-American docudrama film based on the life of whistleblower Katharine Gun who leaked a memo exposing an illegal spying operation by American and British intelligence services to gauge sentiment of and potentially blackmail United Nations diplomats tasked to vote on a resolution regarding the 2003 invasion of Iraq.[3][4] The film is directed by Gavin Hood, and Gun is portrayed by Keira Knightley. The film also stars Matt Smith, Matthew Goode, Adam Bakri, Indira Varma, and Ralph Fiennes.

From what I know of the Katharine Gun case, the film was pretty accurate in portraying her bravery. Just another sub story in the Iraq illegal war history.

2) Bombshell
Bombshell is a 2019 American drama film directed by Jay Roach and written by Charles Randolph. The film stars Charlize Theron, Nicole Kidman, and Margot Robbie, and is based upon the accounts of the women at Fox News who set out to expose CEO Roger Ailes for sexual harassment. John Lithgow, Kate McKinnon, Connie Britton, Malcolm McDowell, and Allison Janney appear in supporting roles.

The project was first announced in May 2017 following Ailes's death, with Roach confirmed as director the following year. Much of the cast joined that summer and filming began in October 2018 in Los Angeles. It entered into a limited release in the United States on December 13, 2019, before a wide release on December 20, by Lionsgate.

Bombshell's box office results were seen as disappointing but the film received mostly favorable reviews, with critics praising its acting (mostly for Theron and Robbie) as well as the makeup and hair but some criticized the screenplay and inaccuracies. At the 92nd Academy Awards, it earned three nominations: Best Actress (Theron), Best Supporting Actress (Robbie), and Best Makeup and Hairstyling, winning the latter.

Both superior films and recommended.
