Last Film You Saw

Surge.

Have not switched a film off for some time. This looked interesting, but the way it is filmed induced nausea. The camera is always close-up on the subject, and bounces and turns all the time. Worse than a rollercoaster.

Blade. Well about 20 minutes of it, how 15 year old me thought that film was the dogs bollocks is beyond me.

Watched “The Good, The Bad & The Ugly” last night and had really forgotten how good was - if a touch long. Good strong cast, great cinematography, but the real star was Ennio Morricone’s score - such innovative and distinctive music. Still “singing” it today…no wonder the dogs keep fucking off out !
Worth 8/10
The trilogy is fantastic. Seen them all countless times and will watch them all again whenever I see them advertised.
You should YouTube the Danish National Symphony Orchestra doing TGTBATU. Absolutely fantastic

Watched Sightseers (2012) - Suprisingly good. A ‘nerdy’ couple - a few months into their relationship - take a road trip with a caravan around various tourist sites in England (Tram museum, Mother Shipton’s Cave, Blue John Mines etc). Things turn out a little differently than expected !
Very dark comedy but an enjoyable watch (Just what I needed after the Dippers game). I watched it on IPTV but is available on All4 player. Give it a go. Very good 8/10

We watched it a few years ago, very quirky, very "British" and lots of fun ;-)

Why is it in horror films that the huge houses they film in can have ceiling lights on wall lights on table lights on and all together add up to about 40watts it’s always pitch black.

Constantine, it’s been updated 4k and Dolby Atmos, looks and sounds superb, good film and rumours of a second in the pipeline as Reeves likes the character. 7/10

Captain America - Brave New World. Don't understand the hate from certain sections for this one. Linked lots of past and present movies well. Would give it a 7.5/10

It's a really good film, indeed.

Interesting, but unlikely, that Reeves will come back as the character.

'Constantine' is a scouser and I think Marvel are trying, for the most part, to keep characters canon to the backstory and no there's no reason to make the character American when he does most of his work in Britain.

Absolute shite wasn't it lasted about 20 minutes not sure what the director was trying to do but it didn't work

I think they’re actively looking into a sequel right now, both the director & Reeves have both spoken publicly about it recently.
And it’s DC, not Marvel. Regardless of the initial nationality & location, the Reeves version translated surprisingly well, & has aged particularly well. Let’s also not forget Hellblazer was set in the bleak Thatcherite 80s
