Would it not have gone better if Franny and Paul Lake had turned up?

-- Sun Nov 18, 2012 2:04 pm --

I hope Bernard Manning had a good excuse for not being there.

so which guests DID turn up then, and how much was raised?

Roy Cheetham, Tony book, Tommy Booth, Vicky Kloss, Danny Wilson, a youth team player and 2 of the ladies team, plus John Henshaw was there so agreed to speak.

They were good, what i could hear of them - i've never been in such a noisy place of people who had paid to hear city people speak only to then decide to talk amongst themselves instead while getting very drunk! :( It was a minority, but a loud minority, and those of us not by the stage couldn't hear well at all.

Glad i went - got one picture with the trophy, but wanted to get another and my partner to get one, but people stood all aruond it drinking once the speaking started so it was hard to get near, so crammed around it of people not having pictures with it you couldn't manage it, then it suddenly vanished at 9.55! Oh well! Thought there'd be time when the speaking was officially over and people moved, no one announced what time the trophy was leaving so figured it would be there til the end. I turned up as 7 as had been told wouldnt be allowedin that room until then, only to find it over half full!! But i'm happy with my one picture, should've took more then but felt bad holding up the queue (serves me right for manners!!!!) Speaking of manners, thanks to the drunk bloke who thumped my other half in the chest/stomach for accidently walking in front of his mate who was having a photo - very nice of you to do that to fellow blue, and to the one who called them a prick when they tried to get Vieras autograph ("haven't you ever seen a footballer before you fucking prick") - thanks again, you made them too embarrased to go up to any other player that night, cheers fellow blue.

But not the organisors fault!!! Thanks for organising it all Cyber Blue :)
And i'm glad money was raised for a worthy cause!

The bigest prick wsa the pissed up lad who bid £575 for a shirt suprise suprise he doesnt want it now as for the noise it was ok most of the time you are right though what the point paying to see the guests & then talk amongst them selves as for the lad who punched your partner if you had let us no he would have been thrown out .as for the Trophie we didnt no when it was going but every time i was at the back there was no Que for it .any way glad you had a great time,James H Reeve was also there & Patrick Viera was brilliant
