As Rasc said, it was 63,326 against the rags on 6th November 1971. Finsihed 3-3 and I think the North Stand was all seater from the following season so we never got over 60,000 again.

the attendance that night must have been 250K at least
Every blue I've spoken to claims to have been there that night funnily enough though I remember a few empty seats
think its absolutley certain then if we were giving everton part of the gate money in the swales attendance figure era there would of been 60,000 in ! anyone else remember how full it was ?City Hobgoblin said:'Officially' was 54000 I think?mrtwiceaseason said:V Everton 1981 ? Before the North Stand was built there was an uncovered terrace known as the Scoreboard End(probably because that is where the large old fashioned scoreboard was situated).tidyman said:What's this about 1971 was the only year the North Stand was standing?
What was there before '71?
