'Officially' was 54000 I think?

Capacity was 52k in that era. The biggest games got between 50 and 52,000

I think the biggest official attendance after that 3-3 derby was a Derby (County) game at the end of that season, 55,026.

Unofficially I'd be amazed if the Sunderland FA Cup tie the following season wasn't close to 60k, officially 54,478 (2k over official capacity!). The Kippax looked as packed as I can recall that day.

What's this about 1971 was the only year the North Stand was standing?

What was there before '71?

Is everyone forgetting City 10 Huddlesfield 1
the attendance that night must have been 250K at least
Every blue I've spoken to claims to have been there that night funnily enough though I remember a few empty seats

Those that claim they were there at night will have missed it all anyway.

think its absolutley certain then if we were giving everton part of the gate money in the swales attendance figure era there would of been 60,000 in ! anyone else remember how full it was ?

Wed, Mar 11th 1981 City beat Everton 3-1 in FA Cup replay in front of 52,532

At the weekend there were more at Goodison
