I know you said home, but I think it was York away.

What was there before '71?

the attendance that night must have been 250K at least
Every blue I've spoken to claims to have been there that night funnily enough though I remember a few empty seats
Those that claim they were there at night will have missed it all anyway.

I have actually had a few Fans tell me about "that match that night"
to which I ask them if they were there for the Notts County game in the johnsons paints trophey or whatever it was called when we recorded our lowest ever attendance
that normally shuts them up if not I then point out the 10 - 1 was a Saturday
In fairness to him, Mansfield is in the county of Notts.tidyman said:whp.blue said:tidyman said:Those that claim they were there at night will have missed it all anyway.

Well as I'm on a roll I may as well point out it was Mansfield not Notts County.
Sorry.

Rags were playing a Champions League game at home if I'm correct on the following night to mansfield and the media had a dig at our no show compared to the Rags big crowd
Also think the attendance for Huddersfield was only around the 19000 mark.
It was around 17,000. I was sat right behind Brian Clark from Piccadilly Radio for that game. Rubbing shoulders with the stars once again.tidyman said:ONTHERUNWITHTHAKSIN said:tidyman said:Well as I'm on a roll I may as well point out it was Mansfield not Notts County.

Not hard to find out but from memory I'm thinking 17,000.
Most home games were between 15,000 & 19,000 in those days. No arguing over how many points you need to buy a Millwall away ticket back then.
