Would someone with this 48 page behemoth under their belt please kindly summarise its contents, I'm not being lazy but I've been away all w/e and right now I only have time for fleeting glimpses of bluemoon and I haven 't managed to extrapolate anything concrete from the random pages I've read.

we are going to sign David Villa

he was unsure about joining us but when he found out we a going to sign Kaka he made up his mind to join the blue revolution

we are? I might as well give up, I can't keep up - I know he mentioned us in the press but I thought it was quite a tenuous rumour?!

Here is one for you. If city have paid for Kaka (in which he is now our player) then surely he cannot play against us if we were to meet Milan at any stage of the UEFA cup.
if he is paid for then he will be here in january

if for some reason Kaka himself insisted that he wouldn't be joining until summer, then it's possible.

more likely though--"not coming until summer" means "not done deal."

Not exactly you can agree a deal in principle, doesn't mean a deal isn't in place on issue is regarding payment, sure It wouldn't be given until the actual date of the transfer especially in todays financial climate, If the money went AWOL on behalf of Milan then in equity city would have to begin the whole process on tracing which is complex. Anyway we will see if the Villa deal happens by Friday will we not

By Friday? Don't you mean end of January? It won't be announced until at earliest January 1st.

Re: David Villa Done Deal!

Then what have they done with Huntelaar? Surely we could do something similar?

Re: David Villa Done Deal!

The story has been picked up by a proper newspaper this morning <a class="postlink" href="http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/leagues/premierleague/mancity/3688207/Manchester-City-holding-talks-with-David-Villas-agent-in-60-million-deal-Football.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/footba ... tball.html</a>

Nothing new unfortunatly 'rumoured £60 million deal' 'it is understood' type stuff, but thought I would try and help this along to 100 pages

Manchester City holding talks with David Villa's agent in £60 million deal
David Villa's agent is expected in Manchester to continue discussions regarding a rumoured £60 million deal to bring the Valencia striker to Eastlands.

The 27-year-old has been top of a number of European club's wish lists, but it seems the Premier League is the more likely option with City's Abu Dhabi-based owners prepared to 'break the bank' for him.
Real Madrid were Man City's closest competition in the race to land Euro 2008's top scorer, but considering they have just signed Klass-Jan Huntelaar, a switch to the Bernabeu seems unlikely.

Valencia are cash strapped and have admitted that their star player will have to go in January, despite Villa signing a contract extension that runs until 2014 just six months ago.

It is understood that the deal, worth an estimated £160,000-a-week, could be completed as early as Friday.

City have also made headlines with reports they are planning a £15m bid to bring Esteban Cambiasso over from Inter Milan.
The Mail reports that Mark Hughes' plan is to lure the 28-year-old with astronomical wages - £100,000 believed to be the going rate at City for someone of his calibre.

Hughes has been told that any deals in January are entirely his responsibility, and has been given Sheikh Mansour's word that he will in no way interfere.

The promise comes in the wake of Hughes' comment that, amid the changes and big names to come in January, "the new owners do not tell us who should come or not."

Re: David Villa Done Deal!

The interesting thing I'm think at the moment is that on another forum theres a poster who has insider info and has been very relieable has said that there is going to be a big signing by the 2nd of Jan.

Previously (before this thread etc) he has said that if its not Villa it will be someone else as our owner definately want to make a Big statment.

So if we were to announce the Villa deal early I wonder if this would still be the case

Still hoping for Kaka in Jan

from setanta -

Speaking exclusively to setanta.com, David Villa’s agent has rubbished rumours stating his client is about to be transferred to Manchester City.

Mark Hughes’ City are searching for massive January reinforcements and European champion Villa has been strongly linked to the Eastlands outfit over the past months.

Despite growing rumours, the striker's agent Jose Luis Tamargo has claimed the Valencia goal-machine is fine at the Mestalla, who are not desperate to sell in order to solve their economic crisis.

Tamargo told setanta.com: “At the moment, we are not speaking with any clubs, as David Villa is trying to make history with Valencia.

“Until that day and, despite the fact everybody is aware that Valencia are facing economic difficulties, David was always paid on time and never had to complain about anything.

“These are just rumours emanating from the English press that the Spanish one rewrite, but, believe me, there’s absolutely nothing.”

The reports had indicated that a £60 million transfer was in the pipeline with Tarmago said to have met with City officials over the blockbusting move.
