Here is one for you. If city have paid for Kaka (in which he is now our player) then surely he cannot play against us if we were to meet Milan at any stage of the UEFA cup.
if he is paid for then he will be here in january

I agree but everyone is under the impression that he isn't coming until summer

Didn't the rags have a similar deal when they pre-signed Rude-Van-Horse-Face from PSV..? Only for him to get his knee injury and it got delayed... All this with a player who at 18 had a "career-threatening and possibly paralysis-inducing spinal fracture as a result of a swimming pool accident, but remarkably made a full recovery. He attributes his recovery to God and has since tithed his income to his church." (wikipedia)...

Hmm

lol... I wish at 18 that would of happened to me if I turned out to be amazing at football, the attribute to God however is a different kettle of fish. As for your actual point I do think the rags did have such an agreement with Van-Horse-Face...maybe your correct

Re: David Villa Done Deal!

maybe we just told AC that they could keep him until summer ? come jan 1st we hold up his registration papers and tell them to "Do one" they've got Ronaldinho to fill in lol that would be nice

lol nice is an understatement..... that would be awesome, btw Dunne must be livid giving up his number 22 shirt lol

Re: David Villa Done Deal!

In regards to the Kaka pay now and get in June

that was brought up from Yawning Donkeys thread about the manager, sponsors and signings

The only way that I can see kaka arriving in June but we've payed AC milan in Jan is down to the personal term for Kaka
i.e. it's Kaka request -

Milan can't enforce that one on us as they need the money and we have it so we hold all the cards

Re: David Villa Done Deal!

real madrid have sacked shuster and replaced him with ramos. this may mean they will be spending big in the summer now. they also have big injury problems. we need to complete our business quickly

Re: David Villa Done Deal!

Said nothing about the Villa transfer which I find odd, pretty sure it would have got a mention had the rags been willing to spend £60 million on him!

he was only on there to talk about the Madrid situation though to be fair.

Re: David Villa Done Deal!

the spanish press apparently knew that real were only going to allow robinho to talk to city a full day day before we did!! i think the spanish press have a different approach, this could be true.. im leaning towards believing it despite not wanting villa..

..i just dont think he will do it in the prem

Agreed but surely when you have a team willing to break the World transfer record to buy a Spanish player and you have the leading Spanish football pundit on your show you might consider asking him what he thinks about it?

True although sky sports haven't reported the agent flying in so why would they seek any response. The Madrid situation is sure to take centre stage, even more so as they play Barca at weekend.

Only a City fan could come out with something so stupid. Not wanting David Villa? **** me, I've heard it all now.

He is on again later talking about la liga. I imagine he might say something there.

Would someone with this 48 page behemoth under their belt please kindly summarise its contents, I'm not being lazy but I've been away all w/e and right now I only have time for fleeting glimpses of bluemoon and I haven 't managed to extrapolate anything concrete from the random pages I've read.

Fresh links

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1093076/Valencia-financial-crisis-pushes-David-Villa-closer-60m-Manchester-City-move.html?ITO=1490" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/footba ... l?ITO=1490</a>

So what do we think everyone? All the reports in the media and the info from ITKs on here suggest he is on his way, but is he? Yes or No?

I say

YES

i offer up a firm "we'll see."

i do think there's enough buzz--and lack of denials, along with claims of a big name signing on the way from the city camp--to convince me that they are talking to ppl.

also the Huntelaar thing. a few Ajax ppl i know have said City tried to sign Huntelaar at the end of the summer. i think it may be reasonable to assume City tried to sign Huntelaar recently too. either Huntelaar said "no, i won't go to City, only Real," (very possible, he's a bit of a c-nut) or City are far enough along with some other negotiation.

i believe it could happen, but until i see an official announcement from the club i'm not quite going to believe it. there are too many people who make too much money (the press, the agents) from stoking the rumor flames to trust the rumor mill. i remember after Abramovich took over Chelski, a friend of a friend knew a scout, and people inside the club sometimes fell for rumors, not all of which were reported in the press. it'll be interesting.
