He said older peoples lives are less valuable because they have less left to live.

Yeah but this isn't Logans Run.

For exame I could personally think my 45yrs have been a good run and if the choice was me dying from covid or an18yr old with years ahead then I am fine dying, which was what he was saying

Basically his stance that the older you are the means you have had a good run so in a choice where saving a life the young should live before old.

However having that view is different to thinking it should be a social norm as he was.


His mindset does come from a position of privelidge tbf

Yes and his positon as I took it was lockdown affects the younger more so if sacrificing the elderly brings an end to locldown then it is a thing worth doing because he didn't mind it happening to him.

A lord having had a good comfortable life, really didn't understand how such an idea is disagreeable to many.
