League cup - Crystal Palace pre-match thread

Just a reminder to my fellow Yorkshire based blues. 10,000 Boro fans will be heading across the M62 this evening, adding to the usual midweek evening traffic chaos.
 
why do people all of a sudden want to field a strong team now that Chelsea and Arsenal are out of it? we have more to lose with our starting players (dip in health/confidence) than we have to gain. let's get our future stars some quality time on the field and allow our current stars to stay fresh for the more important matches

only the shit teams brag about winning the LC. know where we came from, but also know where we are and where we want to go.

I don't think that it's "all of a sudden" to be honest mate, after the last round most people on here (that I read) were saying "that's the way to do it" in regards to starting with a full-ish first team line-up that killed the game off ASAP, allowing us to rest a few first teamers and blood a few youngsters in the later stages of the match once it was effectively won. Remember, it's easier to start off fast and slow down than in is to start slow and speed up.

...and that last bit is laughable really. League and cup double is better than just the league, of course just IMHO.
 
This will be a tough game for sure, can see ilus resting a few key ones like KDB, Sterling, Yaya, otamendi and bony for a start.

Regardless of yesterdays result, its no reason to risk our best players cause of the league. Think we should give the kids ago tomorrow...start Nacho and roberts especially for this.

Think we'll just scraoe it 3-2.

Would of gone tonight with the tickets being so cheap but unfortunately im working all day today.

its a cup game and even if its a 3rd choice of silverware its Manchester city and you have to take your chance of winning anything on offer this shit about a micky mouse cup well the 1976 league cup final was the last thing we won for 30 odd years how can you not take winning again when the time gap in Manchester city history and fuck all to shout about

and do you think palace will just turn up and roll over and let us win I don't think so play the best team you feel that can beat palace tonight and if you need some fire power but the stars on the bench

I'm just going based on a handful of replies where individuals state 'Arse and Chels are out, we should take it serious now' or something of the sort. and of course winning the league AND LC is better than just the league alone. but winning the league comes first and I think these LC matches jeopardize our efforts towards that
