League cup - Crystal Palace pre-match thread

I want to win everything we are in even friendly competitions! Winning breeds confidence! Also I want us to be the first team to do the domestic treble and win all 4 in 1 season

why do people all of a sudden want to field a strong team now that Chelsea and Arsenal are out of it? we have more to lose with our starting players (dip in health/confidence) than we have to gain. let's get our future stars some quality time on the field and allow our current stars to stay fresh for the more important matches

only the shit teams brag about winning the LC. know where we came from, but also know where we are and where we want to go.

As far as I am concerned, the most important match is the one we play next... in this case Crystal Palace, at home, in the Capital One Cup.

its a cup game and even if its a 3rd choice of silverware its Manchester city and you have to take your chance of winning anything on offer this shit about a micky mouse cup well the 1976 league cup final was the last thing we won for 30 odd years how can you not take winning again when the time gap in Manchester city history and fuck all to shout about

and do you think palace will just turn up and roll over and let us win I don't think so play the best team you feel that can beat palace tonight and if you need some fire power but the stars on the bench

quality over quantity for me. thinking long-term success over short-term. in my opinion it's better for us to focus on the other competitions and have matches where our youth players can get time on the field.

winning the LC is great but is quickly forgotten from my yank perspective. I just don't think the benefits of potential winning the LC outweigh the injury risk and potentially losing the PL

It cannot be the case that you cannot play someone in fear of them picking up an injury. Whilst a vote amongst blues might show a split in opinion, Pellers has expressed his desire to compete in all four cups, so I see the strongest possible team being put out to start with and resting when and if we can afford to.
I would agree with that too.

There is no gurantee of winning anything else win or lose tonight, hence why I think Pelers will field a strong team.

Is the draw for the next round straight after tonight's games like it was last last round?
