It was a totally justified decision in the circumstances and just because we didn't go on to win the champions league doesn't invalidate it. Using the same logic we'll all have to bow down before Seluk if we fail to win it this year with Yaya. Pellegrini may have ultimately failed or been found wanting at this level but he doesn't deserve the amount of shit that is dealt out on here. Seems its not enough to have so much to look forward to under Pep, some of you still have to look backwards. Whilst doing so don't forget the league title and league cup won under Pellers.

utter disgrace that. Pellegrini didn't get enough shit for the stunt he pulled with that match.
That wasn't his decision. It was Khaldoon and Txiki and was unquestionably the right one given the pressures on our squad at that time.

No but they do have a say in which competitions are priority. That was a club decision, not a Pellegrini one. He picked the side with that as the framework.
The win in Kiev 2 days later vindicated the decision,too, although it's old news now.
