League Cup Final Post - Match Thread

Georginho should have gone for this. Clear intent and dangerous.

I'm sure the disciplinary panel will be all over it...…….. Oh, wait - will they fuck, because Sky/BT/BBC aren't showing it on a loop.

Winston Reid says hi by the way.

Absolutely should have been a red but unfortunately there are very few refs that would give it in the 2nd second of a cup final, which is why Jorginho was probably confident he could get away with it.

At one point I thought he was doing just that - he did head towards the tunnel and the exit (TV commentators were wondering if he had been sent to stands) but I knew it wasn't that - I think for a moment he did consider walking out because of the keeper thing. A guy on Talksport has just said what Chelsea's Directors should do: sack the keeper and tell the players that the Manager Sarri is staying for the duration of his contract, so you lot better start playing for him.

But he added they wont do that, player power gone mad.
Some years ago, the Wigan players were clearly not playing for whatshisface (that scouser). Chairman Dave goes into the dressing room (despite his broken leg!) and says:
"I'll sack you lot before the manager".
Amazingly results changed.
Edit. Jewell?

VAR did take a look.

And both were likely *just* onside.

Really poor all around from the officials.
When they give that fat **** Moss a cup final with Martin 'makes-it-up-as-he-goes' Atkinson on VAR, they're not looking for good refereeing.

It appears he follows through with his arm as he passes Aguero. Looks intentional to me.

I wonder if there are any other angles of it.
