they would escort it once they got wind of it happening, cant see a dispersal notice being given,as fans would only disperse to the swamp which is where they would be heading lol, better for the cops anyway having one large group to monitor than loads of indivudual groups, starting at the Etihad numbers would be 2k plus by the time they crossed town i reckon

I watched the 2nd leg in Spain with a rag mate. We'd both just had daughters and it was their 1st trips abroad. He was quite gracious when Shrek won it in stoppage time. Complacent though, didn't see us as a threat.

Fast forward 9 years and I don't even get footie bantz by text from him anymore, even after the derby. He understands that the balance of power has shifted

Yeah, I agree. They let the foreign clubs do it because it’s their tradition to all meet up in one place and then walk to the ground, but no way they’d let thousands of City do it. I bumped into Feyenoord’s a couple of seasons back near the Printworks which was interesting. Even a couple of our fans I know had decided to join it.

The League Cup is on it's last legs ... France is doing away with their version from next season all together and I suspect we'd at some point follow suit ... two-legged semis are probably going to be the first ones to be cut ... so last few seasons remaining to make up whatever records we want in this cup. Three in a row is on the line this season.

I think over the last decade this cup has helped us a lot in terms of we have had strong second strength teams and if anything it has helped in keeping everyone happy in the squad with enough game time. If we were to start discarding this in the first round (R3) itself every year like some other so called big clubs do then we'd have had some sulky players over the years in our squad so having had the success and every year be playing as many games more has kept those squad players happy enough to not disturb the dressing room harmony.

The League Cup has been very important to City,particularly over the last few seasons. After all we are only behind Liverpool in the numbers of times a team has won it.
I would really love to win it again this season to make it 3 wins on the bounce.
