Leaving out Elano

elano been poor for 12months.midfield played quite well today.lost because defence lost concentration and shape to often.keeper had a poor day.only 2 attempts on goal.front 2 looked abit panicky,not composed enough to turn good football into goals.
elano should go in january with hamann and jo

Fair enough. He may want to play in Serie A anyway. That does not excuse his mismanagement under Hughes. What business manager singles out 'team members' who they do not get on with although they are not immediately sackable? Rubbish management and we all know it.
 
Elano was playing well until his fall out with Hughes. He had looked much fitter than last season. He should have played off Benji today instead of that berk Vas. He is a very talented player. Getting rid would be foolish.

Elano got to play in an advanced attacking role against EVerton. Started brilliantly, and then disappeared for an hour.

Way too inconsistent even within a game. I thought he was poor in Spain - but so were many others.

I've got no doubt that Elano will be gone in January, unless Hughes goes first.

Just hope we have luck with injuries and suspensions and don't find ourselves playing Gelson, Hamann and Kompany because we don't have any forward thinking creative types available.

Elano is talented, and has proven that. But he's also a liability when we don't have the ball, and we have better attacking players in our team

Agree to certain extent, my point bieng hes not the only liability and as liabilities go, hes one of the better liabilities. If that makes any sense whatsover.
 
I'd F*ck him off without hesitation!!!! - He's that good the likes of Espanyol (The Catalan Man City if ever i saw a comparison) and Lazio both chasing him. Two other struggling clubs. Not a Real, or a Juve or a Bayern in sight. Even the Inter links dried up. The reason being he's been sussed out fir being one of the most overrated underperforming players we've had for many a year.

He's lived off the Newcastle & Boro home games last season all year. I cant believe that people think Elano played well Thur, he was pre-occupied with chasing Luccin around all night.

If someone offered our money back for him id get shot!

SURELY he's worth a place on the bench.........ahead of some kid who Hughes "wants to give a taste of first team football?" Sorry Hughes you've got this one well and truly wrong. We needed 3 points today, we needed people on the bench who could potentially come on and turn things round, today was NOT the time to be introducing a young lad to what its like to be around the squad on match day

Dont get me wrong, I'm all for the youngsters being given a chance but today was not the time to do it

thats the problem. elano doesnt tackle, he isnt that kind of player.

hughes expects him to tackle, whilst Brazil dont.

Who has had more success? Brazil? or leslie?

Rags accomodate Ronaldo because he doesnt tackle
Chelseas accomodate Joe Cole, he doesnt tackle.
Arsenal accomodate Rosisky, Vela, Van Persie, they dont tackle


How many tackles do you see messi doing? Kaka?

Fuck me, is we signed them Hughes would sub them because they wouldnt track back and tackle.

Just correcting an common misconception.

And you say trouble maker, that may be the case although there has been little evidence of that before. Maybe he's just not a happy camper under the current regime, can't say I blame him either.
