Leeds (H) | PL | Post-Match Thread

I can’t help thinking it’s all a bit cringey seeing us fuck about at the corner flag with nobody in the box at corners.

Last minute of a cup final maybe I’ll give them a pass. But against shite like Leeds at home, surely we’re better than that?
You are Chris Sutton, and I claim my £5.

Well, we all have our opinion. You know mine, and now I know yours. I was in the stadium and I am pretty ruthless about my own club and will call it as I see it, whether good, bad or indifferent. You deserved the win but we had you rattled at the end - is what I saw.

If we go down, we will deserve it and I will have no complaints. Three clubs have to be relegated and these things work in cycles. I've been around a long time and I'm philosophical about it all. The main thing is that the club will continue in existence. If that's the case - and I have no reason to believe otherwise - then we're still here and that's the main thing.
All fair points to be honest and no issue with that. These things do go in cycles you're absolutely right, and after almost 55 years of following this club I've seen a few of them!

Sound enough pal...

On Saturday Leeds were fortunate to escape another seven goal hammering. City cannot make excuses for the goals we failed to score - it was a combination of poor finishing, a Haaland "off day", a silly decision about the penalty taker and a moment of poor defending. We have to be careful none of this is repeated but Leeds were lamentably uncompetitive for 94 minutes and they can claim no credit for a "narrow" defeat. A timely warning for us for Tuesday. But to portray keeping the ball by their corner flag as "panic", BFS did after the match and as the press have been delighted to repeat, is nonsense; it was sensible game management at this stage of the season.

I like Big Sam but it would be nice to see Leeds go down again. Their fans are so small time, behaving like giddy as fuck non league fans at an FA Cup 3rd rd tie away to a big club.

Hopefully they disappear for over a decade again.

I haven’t had time to read all the thread so I apologise if this has already been said. Plus I know there will be some who disagree with me but hey that’s life! All opinions count toward the whole picture.

I was extremely proud to be there yesterday to not only see a great win but also to witness an impeccable rendering of the National Anthem. Having heard about the debacle at the ground down the other end of the East Lancs ours made me proud. Actually as I knew it would.
Thanks fellow Blues.
You don't want to start that argument off on here.
What happened down the other end of the East Lancs Road would have made many a Blue just as proud.

You wouldn't be saying that if they went up the other end and scored
I still haven't got over Sunderland 2012.

I thought it was down to one thing which was gundog taking the pen. everything else went to plan including resting some legs, not going all out hammer and tongues and not expending energy we will need every few days now.

No it’s not cringey it’s another string to our bow and it’s great fun for the crowd.

It demonstrates how unbelievably skilful we are in tight situations. I remember Raz, Leroy and I think Jesus memorably winding the clock down near the end of a derby win by outskilling them near the corner flag
