So by that logic a team can only deserve to win... if they win. I think that’s ridiculous. We deserved to win. Pep put out a team that rested 7 key players yet still dominated, only conceded 2 shots all game, had 29 shots, and the expected goals on all those chances was around 2.3 - 0.2. We would win that game playing that same team and that same football over 90 times out of 100. It was a team that deserved to win the game, but didn’t. And I can live with that, it’s the nature of sport.

We’ve made changes like that many times and secured the points, enabling us to progress on all fronts in a season when everyone else has been unable to find consistency due to the schedule. It’s our competitive advantage. We have gained far more points from such changes, from keeping the squad fresh, focused and pulling in the same direction, than the 3 points we lost today.

Post of the thread. We were done by a well organized Leeds team who were clinical. Nothing wrong with the team selection, just one of those days we were crap in front of goal.

Correct, and that is what pisses me off when I read pep is arrogant or pep spends to much time kissing x arse, these sayings only come out when we lose, he set the team up and with better finishes we would of won that easily, 29 shots for, 2 against, that says to me pep got it spot on, unfortunately some of the players and they are all capable didn't, some players yesterday need to up it a few notches or they will regret it now and in future seasons

I hope this result stings the players as the West Brom one did back in mid-December, we really should have won this game, even the team he put out was enough to beat them.

We have not been good since we have been back from the break, I do have a nagging feeling in my stomach about Wednesday, hopefully, my gut is proved wrong.
