did it work ?
Careful Bill we have a sensitive one here, remember mate you only say positive stuff about city on here nothing negative. Its the reason I stopped coming on here
did it work ?
Probably a good job that the rags winning both is unlikelyRags win their two games in hand our bottle will go
I have to question my sanity reading this thread. The levels of overreaction and utter nonsense make it a waste of time trying to find sensible points.
Today wasn't good and typical of many of our losing performances: total domination, lots of shots and concede from the only two shots our opponent has.
What annoys me most is conceding so easily in added time: you have to make sure you don't lose at that stage and accept that a win is a bonus if you can work another opening.
Yes that is a big concern in the games that really matter. Our record when we fall behind is not good and that is when you need someone to pop up. Gundog has covered this up to a certain extent and hopefully he has a few more important goals in him. Hard to know if this poor performance will be a good or a bad thing ultimately as we head into a crucial period.we have absolutely nothing up top, that will come back to hit us hard at the business end of the season
It would be interesting to see which of our players have had the most shots in that lot.Our 4 losses in the league: (city stat first)
Leicester
Shots 16/7
On Target 5/7
Spurs
Shots 22/5
On Target 5/2
Scum
Shots 23/8
On Target 6/6
Leeds
Shots 29/2
On Target 7/2
Total shots 90/22
On Target 23/17
Goals. 3/11
Damning...1 goal every 30 shots in those 4 losses v 1 in 2 against!
Last season we had no chance of winning the league after the restart but reached an FA Cup semi final.
We had plenty rest also for the Lyon game and still ended up going out.
Rotation is certainly welcome but not to the extent where you take it for granted that your rested players win you games as a matter of course.
He wasn’t great last season mate either and I have always gave him the benefit of the doubt but now I can’t . Not bothered that we got beat as Leeds are one of the top teams in the league but I’m more alarmed that we lacked biteI just believe Sterling, due to his consistent top level performances, is allowed an off season.
If he doesn't get back to his electric best next season then there are some serious issues.
Sterling's poor form is far stronger than Gundo's, Stones' or even Mahrez's worst seasons.
