Like a player who has a poor season so do managers and pep was very poor last year and has continued in the same vein this year. A player regaining his form is much easier a problem though.Completely agree with this "In any walk of life a good manager accepts certain weaknesses and overcomes them. If everything was perfect we wouldn’t need a manager at all. It’s the biggest part of his/her job."
But would you agree that last season our manager did not overcome our obvious weakness?
By 'great team' i put more emphasis on 'team'. They don't have to be packed with superstars or have a cabinet full of silver. Eleven men, playing together as a tight unit, running for each other, and themselves into the ground that stick to the plan.
Every time Leeds went forward they had 5, 6, 7 players around our box very quickly. Defensivly they were the same.
Leeds were very unlucky not to get a point in scouseland and i'll guarantee they will take points off all the top sides this season if they continue as they've started.
Not happy Rodgers laying it out like that for others to learn and follow the same.
Its like, hey guys I found Pep out here is the recipe for you to follow and frustrate them.
Pep needs to rewatch Leicester and Leeds games and come up with plans to stop the rot.
They did work harder and they had more of a plan how to restrict us and punish us at the back than we had for restricting them and punish them at the back.

This is what we used to do under Mancini and it was glorious!Rodgers is spot on.
That's why I can't understand why we don't use the advantage of being up 1-0 and frustrate THEM by sitting back and let THEM open up against their match plan.
If we want 3 points we have to be smarter.
Pep has to learn a lot. But he doesn't really, if I'm honest.
Little old West HamThink Rogers might have other things on his mind right now
