Yes I think I agree but I think I’ve found the the reason why midfield is such a problem: we’ve declined in defending from the front.

Mahrez isn’t the reason why we didn’t win but his pressing was so lazy that 8 speculate it kind of rubbed off on Torres as well. Torres is the new guy so I can't blame him. If Mahrez, a senior player, is working his butt off, he’d be following suit.

Sterling worked hard but it doesn’t matter if only one third of the front line is showing conviction.

If our forwards worked harder in the press, our midfield could have players slower than Busquets and we’d still be fine.

Our pressing from the front has gone from near footballing benchmark to unremarkable.

Mendy and embarrassment, Mahrez heart the size of an aspirin and unfortunately today thought Foden was dreadful too. Torres anonymous also. The 3 big pluses..Dias looked composed even in all the madness, one of the other forum whipping boys Rodri played well and Eddie barring the error made some vital saves. We remind me of arsenal 10 or so years ago. Play nice football at times, but are easily bullied and awful at the back.

As soon as Bernardo came on he gave us energy and a well needed spark going forward, our team as a whole though seems unbalanced and forced, we've gone backwards without a doubt

World beaters for fifteen minutes and then the cohesion vanished. Question for Monsignor Dean and VAR: Why was that tackle on Bernardo not a sending off? No concern for the safety of the player, studs right into the back of the calf. Horrendous tackle. MCFC perform one of those, and often less, and the fuckin' red is ripped out of the Whistling Wanker's pocket and brandished like a fuckin' gold nugget!

Unfortunately it's all part of the Premier League & PGMOL's project.

The problem at left back is killing us. Teams are relentlessly targeting this area. We saw this time and again last season. The only positive today is that it looked much better when Ake came on for Mendy. If you want to win trophies you can't carry any players. Mahrez was pitiful today. At least Bernardo gives you workrate. I actually thought the defence, apart from Mendy, did well against an excellent Leeds team. A draw was a fair result, despite the blatant penalty on Sterling.
