Leeds Vs Man City FA Cup Jan. 7th. 1978

After the game, the City fans behind the goal were kept in, which just gave the Leeds fans time to get round from their end and chuck bricks into the ground where the City fans were. I’m strolling nonchalantly round to meet my other mates to go back to Manchester scarf tied securely around my waist under my jumper. Then they let the Coty fans out and they charged the Leeds fans en masse. I wasn’t bothered, after all I was a Blue but as they charged towards me I realised they wouldn’t know that and again I was risking a kicking but from my own fans. So I hurriedly fumbled under my clothes, got my scarf out from under my jumper and was waving it around as they got close. The kids of today have no idea what away games used to be like.
Yep, absolute bedlam when they let us out of the South Stand, had a couple of pissed up Leeds fans take a swing at me but they were so drunk they nearly fell over, it must have looked hilarious at the time but I was too busy dodging them to laugh. It's fair to say City's games at Elland Rd were never dull off the pitch in the 70s, the escorts back to the station were something else.

Yep, unfortunately he did.
Paul Sugrue, Bobby Shinton, Steve Daley as replacements.
I liked McKenzie and Robinson but they too were failures
Mckenzie! Some fine goals.
Most expensive teenager in the world iirc at the time.250k from Palace.
