We need a quality left-footed centre-back like Vertonghen and another LB to compete with Kolarov...Baines for example.

I think if we sign those...our defence will be solved.

nothing wrong with lescott, hes been class. CB not needed IMO.

I cannot see what Cahill can bring to the squad that isn't there already.

I fancy that Roberto wants two complete top class teams. This will be the cause of much bother!

Lescott is quality and Kolarov is a decent player who needed a bit more time to settle. Looked a lot better near the end of the season.

If its pace you are talking about, teams generally play that deep against Barca, pace of the back 4 is irrelavent. Look at Inter when they beat Barca the other year. Chivu was left back, and he's no sprinter.
