Left Backs

David Raum, Pervis Estupinan and Jose Gaya is the most realistic?
Estupinan is miles off IMHO. Raum is a wingback for my money. Not exceptional enough. Gaya, dunno, doesn't he seem married to Valencia?

Ait-Nouri stands a chance. Right age to grow and plenty to build on.

Raum was absolutely brilliant at the World cup. Germanys best player alongside Musiala. He has played many games as a left back in a back 4 as well.

He has started 7 PL games. If he was good enough for us he’d be starting every game. No need to be so aggressive.

So you're going to act like he wasn't injured for a number of weeks and that's the only reason why he hasn't started more games for them this season? As a squad player and a young player that has plenty of potential to improve, he would be more than good enough for us.

Don`t know how many times it has to be said that he`s very very happy at AC Milan and doesn`t wanna move. Expressed himself too plenty of times. He`s not available
There is zero chance that Theo Hernandez would rather stay at AC Milan than come to City. I watch AC regularly, have done since the early 90s, the club is unrecognisable (as is the league as a whole tbf) from the glory days. They won the league last season, but they're already struggling this season to keep up that form while Napoli have been great. They made it to the next stage of CL, but Spurs will probably beat them. AC are also not in a position to reject a big bid for him, they're owned by an investment firm who also have some share in Fenway. If it makes financial sense, they'll let him go, if we get past that hurdle he ain't saying no.

He has started 7 times and been sub for 8 so I don’t agree. Personally I don’t believe we need another LB who may or may not be good enough. What the club should be doing is backing Pep and buying the best LB around. Whoever that is.

Should go for a german, they have good reputation in the league, usualy they fit well in PL.

He’s said numerous time he’s happy there, also said he’d like to stay there for the rest of his career. Rejected multiple big clubs, including PSG last year, when he extended his contract. Looks like he’s in no rush to move

Since you’re watching them regularly, what’s your thoughts on him? I lived in Milan between January and June and watched him plenty of times, and have been following them closely since. IMO he has something that none of our current full backs have, but there are definitely some flaws to his game. Lots of people seem to describe him as an immaculate LB, which isn’t quite the case. He can be a bit shaky in defence and I suspect his passing and overall posession play isn’t quite at Peps required level, but his attacking output makes up for it

I like Borna Sosa. He played as LB for Croatia in the World Cup, in a back four.

Wonder what type of full back Pep would rather wwnt, would it be an overlapping one like Mendy or a player more comfortable to play inverted like Delph and Zinchenko had done.
