Left footers

Cheers. Surprised Serge is only one. Bizarre stat from Sterling.

The quality of some of those finishes from KDB, Jesus & Fern as well, you would never believe they were right footed.

What a goal from Delph on his 'wrong' foot.

I'd expect Sterling to score a lot with his left as he's coming in off the right wing.

You could say the same about any of the wide players on either side, but it hasn't happened.

So basically you mean Sané should score more with his right? Because obviously Bernardo is getting his with his left, so both right wingers are scoring on their left as you'd expect coming in off that side.

Anyone who gets in that position relative to the ball direction. Sane & David Silva for example. Aguero too because he is often in that position.

It's an interesting stat & a good rate on his wrong foot from Sterling for whatever reason.

Just been watching Sterling’s 7 left-footed PL goals, again. All close-range efforts.

So often Sterling’s been able to use his pace and anticipation to arrive at the right place at the right time to have a chance to score. Now he seems to have added a touch of two- footedness to use the best foot to get the job done. Daresay Pep has had something to do with all this.

Just thought I would raise a question. This is not my original thread. How many left footed players do we have now (I realise some are both footed). Because I am usually pissed and can't be arsed can anyone help?

Ederson - Left
Mendy - Left
De Bruyne - Left
Laporte - Left
Sterling - Right

You get the drift

Ederson, Laporte, Mendy, Mangala, Delph, Silva, Bernardo, Zinchenko, Foden, Mahrez & Sane.

11?

Good going BM you just missed Diaz.

So, in our PL squad of 27 after Muric’s recall we have 15 right and 12 left footed players:

GK: 3R 1L
D: 6R 3L
M: 3R 6L
F: 3R 2L

Player positions according to premier league.com with Delph & Zinchenko in midfield and Diaz Forward.

Not forgetting that Delph and De Bruyne can play (regularly pass and shoot) with both feet and Aguero and Jesus can play a bit and shoot (and score) with their weaker left foot.

Any more 2 footed (and I’m ruling out Sterling due to the Burnley miss and Arteta saying that he has to think about it)?

When I'd seen the youth teams I'd thought Diaz was left footed given how often he used it, but I remember reading that he was actually right footed & had just spent a lot of time practising with his left & is now just incredibly two-footed.

So hadn't counted him as I thought he was actually naturally right footed.

Not sure if I'm right with that though.

Seen him play with both. Transfermarket has him as left footed but it also does for Gael Clichy, who said he!s naturally right footed.

So, on second thoughts maybe we should leave him as both and see how he develops
