There are so many ways they can use VAR in a way thats not helping the game I think they will sabotage it directly by using it not correctly making it very unpopular over time.

With this situation Atkinson could look at it with VAR and still decide no penalty and a card and then WTF we can do?
Surely there will be times when they make a decision after VAR and still a wrong one. Imo thats a good way to break the credibility of all this if they use it the wrong they.

I doubt he didnt give a pen because he saw something else of what happened. Or he wasnt 100% sure of a pen so he didnt give it. I am sure he decided he not gonna give City anything today and thats it.

I think he made up his mind by last Thursday that we were not getting a pen, come what may! What amazes me is that when fifty thousand people can see a clear pen, the ref sees nothing?

Btw I find it immense that in the box you can do anything to strikers after they made a shot or passed the ball. Happens a lot defender arriving late kicks attacker just second after he made a shot/pass/cross.

If same happens outside a box its either advantage rule or a freekick so a fault either way which is noticed. Inside box no.

Lets say here Kun a bit quicker to the ball passing it to Jesus but Young still arrives same way hitting Kun same way with ball not being there Atkinson also wouldnt give anything.

I didn't know he was there and although it makes you think in reality if Sterling and Gundogan don't miss easy chances there was nothing Atkinson could do.

Ah, but, he 'touched' the ball first, so it negates him going over the ball and through his calf like a freight train on the follow through ;-)
