How was the linesman going to give that when minutes before he failed to see the most obvious deflection off a red boot for a thrown in to us.
It was right in front of me and the reaction of all the fans would surely make the linesman think he may have got one wrong.
Sterling questioned him a couple of minutes later and having been given the time to reflect on his decision , he tells Sterling it came off his foot.
