Leicester (A) League Cup QF - Pre Match Thread

Pep says City are hamstrung by injuries but we're going with seven changes from the weekend.

Pep on tomorrow's team selection: "The problem is we don't have many players [to choose from]. We have a lot of injured players. Some players who played against [Everton] or the last games have to play [against Leicester]."

This is a League Cup Quarter Final and it's the only thing Leicester have to play for so it could be very difficult.

They are missing Chilwell and Evans and Vardy is a doubt. I would not play Kompany in this game as Leicester have some quick forwards and Vinny is susceptible to pace.

Better to play Vinny at the weekend. Hoping David Silva will be back for Palace. Could be possible as his hamstring strain looked minor.

Personally I am not expecting David Silva to return before New Years Day owing partly to his family obligations.

Marv, not being rude but do you actually watch City? Vince is the fastest centre half we have, and that is a nailed on fact and not even up for debate.

Would have played Diaz over Matondo but no point if he's going. F. Nmecha has a chance too, although think he usually plays more central.

Have Laporte/Otamendi, Sane, Silva/Fernandino and Mahrez on bench just in case, then give a couple of spots to youngsters.
