Leicester City (H) Post Match Thread

We stopped running and our press was piss poor. Leicester just started to play a little. You didn’t have to be particularly good to beat us yesterday. What other team can you remember conceding 3 penalties. Peps demeanour the whole of this season has been piss poor. It certainly won’t inspire the squad.

His mom did pass away, so his demeanor is a bit understandable, BUT again he either has to commit or this should be his last season with a succession plan in place

Can someone please explain to me, why the game changed as it did after around 30 minutes. Up until then we were fully dominant and in control, had a one goal lead. Leicester were defending with the entire team deep in their own half, Vardy was positioned like pretty much as a midfielder, and they looked like they were out classed... but then it changed.

Was it Brenda who made some tactical changes, which,if so?
And had Pep no counter change to make?
Was it our squad who got tired after only half an hour?

It amazes me how a game can change so drastically. Sure, it's a huge part of what makes it such a great sport to watch, but this is a bit too much. With their first goal we looked defeated, almost like we gave up.
Not pretty to watch.
Because our 34 yr old once magnificent DMF player could not get around the pitch, The first goal for Leicester ,Fern was taken out with one body swerve and the whole pitch opened up , two pases and it's in the back of the net.

Leicester were looking at the calendar, they though Santa had come 3 months too soon.

Thanks for your input.
But then I wonder, why did we stop running? Were we tired? Did we think the game was already won due to our dominance?
Maybe the squad collectively mentally lost it's enthusiasm and dedication as Kyle really needlessly gave Leicester their penalty?

In my opinion, you in fact needed to be formidable to beat us yesterday, based on the first 30 minutes. But then... well, we all know what happened.
I just can't get my head around a collapse such as this. And it should be avoidable!

Pep promised that we would get better year on year. We've actually gone backwards since we last won the league. Love pep but we seem to get done very easily by one style of play of which we haven't resolved in 18+ months. On yesterday's evidence this season will go exactly the same as last.

Much worse position wise I fear.

This squad is no better than last year and Ferny and Kun are at the end of their careers at our club now.

I watched the game again, it was Rodri's lack of pace and awareness which single handedly cost us Leicester's 2nd and 4th goal.
I have been saying this for months, why can't Pep and team see this with all that video analysis.

Cheers.
So did Brenda made the tactical decision to sit back during the start of the game, only to slowly love the team up the pitch and exploit our weak(er) players?

I'm asking cause I'm really interested and curious about how we somehow sometimes manage to switch from formidable to lost in just a few minutes. I don't really see such collapses from other top teams.

Our style of play is so stagnant at the minute and I don’t know why Pep doesn’t change some things. When he first arrived he realised it wasn’t working and set out to change some things and he did well but since then its same old same old and we’re too predictable

Cheers.

We scored a wonder goal, I never thought we looked good at any point.

No pace, no urgency, little enthusiasm all over the pitch.

A carbon copy of much of last season, look at the bench, carbon copy of the players on the pitch.

This is why I’m so angry because people are blaming the loss on not having a right sided centreback or players being injured but it’s the same shit thats been happening for the past year. The passing is slow and directionless and we do fuck all with it. So we’re left with 70%+ possession but whenever we lose it if’s almost guaranteed to be a goal
