Leicester City v City post match.

So we bring in a manager who's only pedigree is the manage cash rich already successful clubs and maintain the status quo. Give him an open check book to bring in amongst others a 2nd rate goalkeeper who can't stop shots and even his passing is questionable. We pay him £15m a year to teach us not to tackle and not to defend either. Oh and how to not win at home. Looking forward to the next 2 homes games then! We're already also-rans this season. This really is value for money and I'm enjoying every minute of it....not. Yes I'm bitter. A 700 mile round trip is not much fun when the game is over after 5 minutes. Utter shit.

Only a minor point but it looks like aguero and fernandihno can take a little of the blame for getting sent off last week and weakening the team, although i doubt that aguero could have done anything to prevent their goals.

It really is a bit of a worry at the moment.

We were all blown away by the start we made, and in fact we probably would have been more accepting of a run like the one we currently find ourselves in, if it had happened at the very start of the season. If it was the other way round, and we were struggling for the first 10 games but currently enjoying a winning streak, I'm sure many fans would have been accepting of the poor start to the season as Pep adjusted to a new league.

As it happens, the first 10 games of the season saw us play some amazing stuff, it wasn't perfect but we were pressing and making quick, insightful passing moves and doing enough to win games.

What seems strange to me is that the pressing and quick passing and movement has disappeared and the players have reverted to the slow, predictable style we saw so often under Pellegrini.

So what went wrong? There was so much promise at the start of the season, winning games while not being brilliant but showing signs of a trademark Pep team. Pep himself would say he was proud but still not playing 100% and there was a long way to go.

So the manager says all the right things and wants more out of his unbeaten players. Great news for us as fans, City would have been mesmerising if we managed to step up our level from that opening spell of matches.

But instead our level has dropped significantly. So I just want to know how we can get it so drastically wrong now after the foundations we laid at the start of the season?

I still have faith in Pep, and he does need to shift some of the older members of the squad (sagna, clichy, kolarov, toure etc all past their sell by date), but that can't be the reason we've declined so drastically because the same players (yaya excluded) excelled in the early weeks of the season. It really is a puzzling situation, and as many have alluded to in this and other threads, Pep's persistence with his tactics that don't seem to be working is definitely an issue. But I think there's also a mentality issue with much of our squad, because they look like they're under so much pressure they've forgotten how to perform the basics of football.

I do believe Pep will turn it around, I have no idea how but that's why he's on the wage he's on and I'm not. I still have faith he's the right man for the job and will take us amongst the elite clubs in the world, but my faith has certainly been questioned in recent weeks.

That said, I remain confident in Pep for a reason I can't quite put my finger on. I just think he's good enough to turn it around, but he needs to do it quickly.

It went wrong when Gundogan got fit and we changed the entire system to accomodate him. Look at our record pre-Gundogan, then look at it since...

That move when it was 0-3 and we almost walked the ball into our own goal.

That wasn’t playing out from the back. It was utter confusion from a group of players who either don’t understand or are just plain incapable of playing that type of football.

Spot on. Got caught yesterday but it could've happened in 4/5 yes 4/5 other games.

Correct but he may have scored some stupid challenge considering he knew the ref had given us fuck all all game

All i can say to that is dont make the 700 mile round trip and save your money because it seems like you want a guarantee when there have never been nor will there ever be one in football.

Softarse.

There's no guarantee of success at any time in the Premier League.

How on earth did you survive the 90's? I guess you didn't go a lot then, as we weren't good enough for you.

I was absolutely fuming yesterday, said after the first two went in we'd let at least 4 in, sad to say I was proven right. How on earth Kolarov still gets a game for us is a mystery!

Only ever left about three games early, yesterday was one of them.

Still had a good day out with friends though, few beers, lad I know that doesn't get to go too often was happy to grab a late spare ticket too.
tell the lad who doesn't go to often to stay away he's obviously a jinx

I think Pep is confusing the players and himself at time .he is certainly confusing the fans
