Leicester (H) Post Match Thread.

I sincerely hope so, he is a great motivator & a true ambassador, not just for City, but for football in general, & I think he would be fantastic for the club beyond his football playing...

Having said that, I'd love to see him captain the side out for the next season, at least - & hopefully for another three.

Last nights goal, I think, was the only way we were going to score. Every time Sergio, Sterling or Silva got the ball there were two men on them instantly.... Vinny read it perfectly, he dummied a run to Raheem, who was immediately marked with two men, which is what Leicester had done for 40 minutes up to that point.

Watching the replays, it was like the whole field opened up in front of him as Leicester homed in on Raheem & I'm sure Vinny knew it was the only way for City to score.

The more I watch it, the more masterful it is.

One step, two steps and the field moved aside for him as he played Leicester into their set move, waiting for the clear shot.

Vinny Sir, you are a God.

From now on the top right hand corner of the goal should be referred to as the vinny. He's smacked it in the vinny!

just one thing i can say about last game ????

TYPICAL CITY ??? we never win or lose the easy way, and your put through the ringer (i fucking love this club)

Anyone??

Sure I've seen it on one of the threads.

The chick is still in the egg! It might peck its way out on Sunday. I'm not counting it till it's out!

I just contacted the agency which represents that Large Female Singer and apparently she is provisionally booked to perform somewhere on the south coast next Sunday.

They didn't know for certain if she could make it there in time or not, but thought she might.

Re the sound on Sky: that f****** noise they put on when a banner comes up on screen was annoying as hell, and I couldn't make out what the crowd were singing...

Liverpool have parked all their busses outside her house in a vain hope to stop her, but I have it on good authority that she left early to avoid the rush :)

There ain't no stopping her now :)

Messi can tuck Liverpool in tonight, and we can put them to bed on Sunday.

The dippers are getting fuck all this season...... except their coming second cup haha

Gundo had a great game on the ball but can’t agree with those saying we dont miss Ferna. Their 2 best chances came when Gundo was brushed off the ball by Maguire and Choudhury. They should have scored. Whole different mood on here today. Gundogan has his strengths but doesn’t sense danger or tackle like Ferna.

Someone posted a link to the Football is Fixed website yesterday, and I spent a few minutes looking at it. There were strong implications that Leicester were to be heavily favoured in this game, with a friendly referee (who officiated in a Leicester win in the reverse fixture) as well as allusions to Leicester’s enhanced energy levels in their title winning year, betting patterns for the game, and the desire for Liverpool to break their Premier League duck. One thing that caught my eye while I was browsing the site was a reference to “City’s resilience to overcome external factors”.

As expected, we got nothing from the officials in the game, but Vinnie’s brilliant goal epitomised our ability to overcome external influences. There was absolutely nothing they could do to overturn that goal.

Did we get away with a shoddy performance last night, yes we did. But hey I will take another performance like that if it wins us the league. To me Sergio just does not look like his best, I am wondering if he's carrying an injury of some sort. I would start with Jesus on Sunday, and bring Sergio on in the second half of the game.

My views on the ref are not printable, but to put it bluntly, I thought that the ref was biased towards the Leicester last night giving them fouls every time one of their players went down. Was he trying to give Liverpool the premier league title last night, it certainly looked that way to me.

Bloody hell, that was tense. Frankly, not a great performance.
Some of our potential match winners were very flat tonight & it was down to Captain VK to come up with the goods. Raz needs to feckin wake up in the league, been poor for weeks now and as one of our big big game changers, he needs to regain that form...please....before Sunday.
Gundogan - shoot that twat, woosed out of a simple tackle that led to their only chance, then gifted possession back to them with a minute to go with a pathetic ball straight to Schmeichel, couldn't even shank it out of play...no...had to lob it straight into Schmeichel's hands...did the same against Burnley with that abysmal free kick.
We got away with it a bit tonight, they defended really well and broke well.
Who played well? errr.....Vinnie, Laporte.....errr.....
Foden was anonymous, great prospect but he has got a lot to learn about getting involved in games that we are struggling in.
David Silva was poor, Bernado was poor, Sane came on and was utter guff....frankly, he has been terrible for months. What is going on there?
Gab comes on and concedes 2 pointless fouls in their half which gave them the chance to hoof it forward, twice, feckin twice in the last 3 minutes....our game management in the last 3 minutes was frighteningly amateurish.
Actually really annoyed about that tonight, we are making very heavy work of these last games.
Seriously, we'd better be up for it from minute 1 on Sunday, been well off the pace for weeks now.
But we WON!

First half was nervous, but I thought we had them pressed right back in the 2nd. At times I felt a goal was coming but not the way it did.

Have you forgotten the 1st half when Aguero hit the bar and Schmeichel cleared it off the line, or shortly before we scored, Aguero almost scored a perfect strikers goal but Schmeichel made a great save.

It gets a bit annoying reading on here after games like the ones against Burnley and last night that we played shoddy or shit. For 1- There are opponents. Premier League opponents no less and some of them are very well organized and have players that can hurt you. If that Leicester team stays together they're gonna be a real threat to the top four next season.

We played really well. Bossed the game, limited them to few chances and tried incredibly hard to find space around the box when they were defending heroically. The one thing that was lacking was a bit of composure when we did have a bit of space to shoot. But the excellent through balls, the wingers running at two men etc are not going to come off all the time in tight games like that. As I keep saying the team and the manager have much bigger balls than us. They're so resiliant, so patient and so understanding of a situation. Many teams could have folded last night or indeed any game these past few months but City (and Liverpool tbf) are made of stern stuff.

One more to go.
