Kolarov was bad but no need to single him out today ....plenty of competition for shittest player on the pitch

Probably a good thing Silva out next week, he's been poor for a while now....pains me to say that
He wasn't bad, he was fucking atrocious... Time after time he misplaced crosses with the prime example being when we had two players in the box and he put the ball yards behind them.

His shots (loose description) were bloody miles off

He had a total shocker

Point is mate, look what we could of won, it could easily be champions 2 out of the last 5 seasons, if we were all that and going well, we wouldn't need pep, we are currently playing shit, this is a post match thread and as such you are reading we are shit. It's not a last five seasons thread, it's about today.

I'd beg to differ in that Pellers is what 62-63? So we would need a new manager sooner rather than later. If we can get Pep rather than Wee Davie why not? Look at where we have come from - unless you're a Jonny come lately you'll know we couldn't have dreamed of 2 titles out of 4 or even 5 seasons not so long ago. We are not entitled - nobody is. Isn't that what we tell rags? Yeah we aren't playing as well as we would hope- injuries- players coming back from injuries - players not good enough and some rank bad buys all play into it but you know what? Thats sport - thats football - if you want to be able to just buy players and guarantee success and hoover up trophies then I think thats a different sport to be honest.

Today wasn't great. Looking at our history yesterday was fucking awful up until about about quarter to midnight and tomorrow - who knows? Thats why I am a City fan - I am along for the ride and have been since 1966.

There is nothing wrong with the principle of playing your slower full backs against the fast wingers. Most of the time you will find that the slower full backs will be more defence minded and be more tactically astute. However, we seem to have the opposite affect. Our slower full backs are the ones with the attacking intent which means that Zaba and Kolarov were often caught out of position when Leicester broke. That's why it was crucial to play Fernando in there. Having a natural DM would have allowed us to be more wary of the counter attack.

We are also looking dreadfully unbalanced with Yaya in this side. A few seasons ago Fernandinho was easily able to make up for his lack of defensive contributions. However, now we are having to play 2 CMs to accommodate him. Delph and Fernandinho both offer almost zero attacking intent in the role they played today. We then have Silva who is reluctant to shoot and Sterling who is hardly the most prolific player we have. The only goal threat we had today was Aguero and as a result Leicester just marked/kicked him out of the game. It was that bad that we could not even string two passes together at one point.

Against Spurs we should go with:

------------------------------------------------------------ Hart ---------------------------------------------------------
Zab-------------------------- Sagna ------------------------------- Otamendi -------------------------------- Clichy
------------------------------------------------------- Fernando--------------------------------------------------------
--------------------------- Fernandinho ----------------------------- Delph ------------------------------------------
Iheanacho ------------------------------------------Kun ------------------------------------------------------Sterling

Just keep it tight and hit them with pace. The front 3 should be able to roam and have a free role as the midfield can defend deeper.

That side makes complete sense but I bet you we don't see it because we have a manager who never learns from his own glaring mistakes.

Why for stating the truth?
Are you happy with what he has shown in the last 6 months?
Wake up!
You said you wished he was injured - that makes you a shit poster and a shit fan.
I'm more than happy with his season so far. He'll get better and better and I'll be fully awake when it happens.

I feel like there is an arrogance about Pellegrini and he would prefer to lose than win playing "negative" football.

Against Sunderland we were just as bad as today IMO. The difference being that we got a lucky goal and benefitted from Sunderland's poor finishing.

You would think that the fact that we are so open defensively and have a piss poor attack would make Pellegrini mix things up. It's funny but the only time we look like a balanced side is in the FA cup.
