Leicester post match thread

The players who disappointed me today were:

Nico - made some really poor clearances, panicked numerous times being scared of Vardy's pace. The penalty was his fault for a piss poor header that went straight to Mahrez.

Clichy - the guy has just lost confidence.

KDB - familiar story of just looking off the pace, gets caught in possession too many times and misses the easy ball.

Wouldn't class it as disapppointing but Jesus certainly needs to limit the little flicks, gave the ball away far too many times by attempting silly flicks instead of just retaining possession.

Yup, pretty much my sentiments as well. Schmeichel clearly targeted our left side with his goal kicking. We had too high a line in the 2nd half IMO, cos Otamendi and Clichy were constantly trying to win headers whilst backpedalling and giving away inches in height, with the result that those headers they did win just plopped gently down to the Leicester midfielder following up. Simple passes out wide then kept leaving Clichy isolated one on one with Mahrez, to the point that it looked close to panic stations come the end. I didn't think Otters played badly overall though. Can't say the same for Clichy.

When KDB sucks, he sucks arse. I feel a bit sorry for him in as much as his forte is clearly turning defence into attack, and quickly, and this season he has instead been confronted with an endless stream of parked buses and compressed space. His goals tally has fallen off a cliff as a result, and the defensive side of his game needs some serious work. Limp dick tackles, giving up once opponents have gone past him, and switching off are all recurrent aspects of his game for me that need working on. To be fair today he kept trying, but he seemed to misplace a lot of passes (although the stats challenge that apparently - see Akiva's post - so maybe my impression is a false one).

I like Jesus. He looks pretty seasoned for a 19 year old, but anyone who wants shut of Aguero this summer needs their bumps feeling IMO. Kun is the superior player for me at the moment.

Pluses today were Ya Ya and Fernandinho, and I thought Sane was a constant threat. Oh and the fact that we won.

General disappointments were a lack of bodies in the box going forward and the fact that we barely tested Schmeichel or two reserve centre halves.

And lastly Madley is a cheating c**t

Well if you were at York, how can you be so negative? I have been a blue for 38 years and if we never win another trophy I will die happy after seeing us win the cup and league. Compared to the crap I lived with for years we are on another level, and there is no way that Leicester deserved a win today so maybe cheer up and stop being so negative!

Negative because we are capable of so much more , if the Leicester penalty had stood there was only one team winning that game , probably our worst 45 minutes of the season at home , and i trump your 38 years with 52 years , not that it counts for anything , quite sure there are posters who only started supporting our club last season are quite knowledgable about football and City.
On a side note , not sure where to post this , but i have around 100-200 programmes going back to 1965-66 season , not mint condition because they were bought at the match and stuffed in my arse pocket , would like to see them go to a good home , if anyone is interested give me a PM

That second half was immensely frustrating I thought.

Struggled to maintain a grip of things and found it hard to create anything.

So many players seemed to have trouble doing basic tasks like controlling and passing the ball. It's all about opinions but I'll pick out De Bruyne as I thought he was dreadful second half.

But, it's a huge 3 points and that is what really counts.

Can't be arsed getting into what the ref did or didn't do.

Cheeky bastards didn't give us all that room that Palace gave us in midfield, so our creative midfielders had to work for it today.

I'm just glad we beat the fuckers.

Some of that bastard's decisions today verged on the scandalous. The double touch penalty was about the only thing he got right

I said it immediately after the game. He gave the almost perfect 2nd half performance of how to sway a result without it being overly obvious.

he is a cheat and thank fuck we overcame him today.

I think someone had a word at half time, telling him that Sterling should have been given offside, he then proceeded to do his utmost to give them everything in the second half.

What are you even talking about? We won the game.

I'm fed up of bullshit posts like this, where we're never good enough and never will be unless we bring back 2011/12 Mancini and restore his players to their form that one isolated season.

Yeah we won the game but in my opinion it was dull, especially the 2nd half. Not a Mancini fan at all. I'm comparing the quality of players between 5 yrs ago and now. And today's lot are not as good. We haven't improved. Letting a mid table outfit like Leicester boss us for 50 mins is quite ridiculous given the quality of players we are meant to have not to mention the money spent. KDB has been sussed. Any team prepared to get right up him and he isn't interested.
