I'm a fan of Pellegrini, but if he doesn't play any youth in this match then it will go against everything that City said about moving in a new direction and looking towards the future.

I would agree with you if this weren't the QF's with the rags potentially lurking if we go through tonight.

Our problem is that if we don't play one of Silva, Nasri or Yaya we lose nearly all of our creativity. We still try to play the same style but without the players to make it work. It becomes very ponderous as at Newcastle before Silva came on.

Agree - I would play Jovetic in the number 10 roll - Play Milner and Navas ( or Lopez for one if fit) out wide with Dzeko up top on his own - Rodwell and garcia in the middle - 4411

I would play:

Pantilimon

Boyata
Demichelis
Lescott
Kolarov

Navas
Garcia
Rodwell
Milner

Negredo
Jovetic

Because Carling cup is quite important. And is a trophy one way or another. I would play Negredo up top. At Fullham game maybe try Dzeko & Jovetic combination. And Negredo if needed in second half. I would absolutely give Jovetic both games because he really needs game time.

Any side we put out tonight should be capable of beating Leicester all due respect to them. But I'd like to see some continuity in the side after Saturday and ahead of this Saturday. For me it's a big game. I like the League Cup, a trip to Wembley with a pot at the end of it hopefully, and it is done for the end of February so you crack on with the League! Bring it on!

Would be great to reward a few of the reserve players considering the winning streak they've been on in recent weeks. I'd go for:

Hart
Boyata Kompany Lescott Kolarov
Milner Garcia Huws
Navas Dzeko Jovetic

Subs
Pants
Facey
Demichelis
Rodwell
Lopes
Silva
Guidetti

If Rodwell doesnt start tonight then I think we can safely say that his days are numbered here.

I doubt he will start with VK even though he is still to reach full match fitness since his long lay off.

Same goes for Silva.

Both may be on the bench as you allude to with Silva

Jovetic and Dzeko should start as I would be surprised if either start against Fulham as much as Dzeko will be expecting to.

Otherwise your side looks just about nailed on.

Never in a million would I be starting Dzeko ahead of Negedo against Fulham - Fulham is a must win and Dzeko isn't producing, Negredo is.

Hm interesting. But Dzeko was producing against Bayern. Against two of TOP TOP defenders Dante and Boateng. I really can not see why he would not be able to produce against far inferior Fullham defenders. And his work rate was briliant, as it was not him. To compare world champion Bayern with bottom side Fullham is funny. If he can not produce against Fullham, than he really is not good enough for this club. It is quite simple really.

I find it bizarre that this is only being televised in the Middle East. A cup quarter final that isn't seeing the light if day here in the UK is a joke. Has it got to the stage now where they should seriously look at scrapping the League Cup?

City to win 3-1 after a flying start by Leicester

Leicester games are hardly ever televised for some reason cup or league.
