Leicester v City Post Match Thread

Comfortable win made easier by lack of belief from Leicester especially in the first half.
Positives: Dzeko had a very good game. Milner and Silva v good
Negatives: Rodwell and Garcia looked like an accident waiting to happen all night long.
Overall a very enjoyable evening and great atmosphere at the Kingpower.
For once I hope the rags get through and we get a chance to bury them twice in a semi.

I thought Rodwell was OK all things considered

A good win but with Xmas coming up and Richards injured zab should have been nowhere near that pitch.

-- Wed Dec 18, 2013 8:00 am --

Just back and never saw Zabaleta's injury. Did the trainer even come on. First most people knew was Boyata suddenly coming on!

Was hoping he had perhaps just felt ill but alas not. Did he manage to walk off after feeling a niggle or is it a bad one.

Really frustrating.

Great singing tonight.

I have just got back and Zabba pulled up just after a throw in and limped along the line to the trainers so there was no need for them to come on, but we were playing with 10 men for quite a few minutes while Boyata warmed up because of it being so early in the game.

Great atmosphere and the Leicester stewards were friendly and unintrusive. Two of them said to me after the game, I was on the front row by the corner flag, how great our fans were. One said 'I wish we had fans like yours every week, friendly and cheerful without any agro'. Thought that was really good of him, he had no need to say it, he shook my hand and said he hopes we win it for our fans.

He fancied you.

This all looks very good but it wasn't really.

Has anyone (who saw the whole match) pointed out how poor Kompany and Lescott were or are they immune from criticism normally reserved for Demichelis?

Not sure whether Komps gave the ball away 12 or 15 times, each of which could've led to a goal in the PL.

I'll hope it was just carelessness.

If that had been a Brazilian (or a scum player) it would be played non-stop on telly. Simply sensational and to think I wondered what the hell he was doing hitting it from there!!

Yes I was there for the full 90 and saw Kompany make numerous good tackles. I also saw Vince coach Boyata through most of the game after Boyata was getting rinsed earlier after coming on.

My point exactly. If Demichelis had been caught in possession so much there would be hell to pay. It was at least a dozen but folk just blot it from the consciousness because 'oh well Vinnie's a good player'.

He is, no doubt, but he's getting accident prone - twice at Southampton, loads last night.

-- Wed Dec 18, 2013 9:48 am --

But who said he didn't Tim, he's a good player? But he got caught in possession about a dozen times.
