That's a ridiculously sexy free kick. One of the best I've seen this year.

Gets all that power and bend from just takin two steps . Brilliant strike . He has a purl of a left foot .
Our fans sounded brilliant !. Done us proud . Love the new songs as well .

Did the job thoughr we played well first half but dsropped off in the second.

We still seem to give teams a chance and Leicester had a go after their goal. MP needs to start learning to shut up shop and just close games out.

Where was Jovetic?

Finally Rodwell aint no where near good enough and even Javi offers more than him - sooner he goes the better

Rodwell not good enough? Even though last year when played he was excellent and this is his first game (full game) back in a while. He showed great drive and kept the tempo high and got into scoring positions (unfortunately he missed a few chances but again he hasn't played for a while)
You have to seriously wonder what some fans are actually looking at. Rodwell is more than 'good enough'.

What was the deal with only 6 subs last night, can't say I've seen or heard any explanation?

Rodwell has been great when he's been fit, as anyone with two eyes could tell. remember Chelsea last year? Jovetic was ill (or maybe not completely ready) and Lopes pulled up with a niggle in the warm up, think that's what the delay announcing the subs was, they were assessing him.

Good atmosphere last night. Liked the quick getaway at the end with coach waiting right outside.

Some scruffy twat tried to dip my pocket at the bar before the game was absolutely fuming, caught him red handed. Apparently one of the other lads had the same done to him, wonder if it was the same guy.

Fucking disgusting.

not a fan of rodwell always seems to be playing his own game and not what the team requires
city did well but, liecester had a few injuries they were very poor fortunately

Noticed this myself but more than willing to give him time and see if he fully settles into the framework of the side.

Players coming in as a new signing/a rare showing through injury problems/promoted from the EDS seem to go about things one of two ways.

They either play it very safe and adhere to the manager's instructions to the letter - plenty of A to B passing, concentrate on their positioning, and try to put in a solid showing.

Or they aim to impress and show what they can do.

I much rather the latter so long as they compromise and find a balance once they feel secure in the overall scheme of things.
